Film: Global environmental pressures caused by Swedish consumption

Using the latest modelling and statistical techniques, the PRINCE model was created to explore the global environmental impacts and pressures caused by Swedish consumption. The aim of this model is to provide policy makers with sound data to enable decision-making for sustainable production and consumption.

In the latest phase of the project (2022), the research team has delivered data for new environmental impact indicators – fisheries, chemicals, biodiversity, and land use change. These provide the most complete picture of Sweden’s global consumption footprint yet available.

Watch our latest film introducing the PRINCE model, its use in official statistics and the four environmental impact indicators explored in the second phase of the project as well as the policy relevance.
